Jason Kuzia

Motion Picture and Live Design

Event Design      Production Design      Management      Art Direction

Over the last 10 years Jason Kuzia has dedicated himself to the arts.  Jason has worked in almost every different job in production, however his passion remains to be lighting and set design.  Jason Kuzia founded Light Touch Entertainment after moving to Los Angeles to help him produce and design for theater, dance and film.  Jason has worked on many accredited motion picture productions, theater shows, live events, trade shows, commercials, and television pilots under the direction and guidance of friends, Christopher Coppola (Blood Head), Rando Schmook (X-Men), and two time academy award winner, Bobby Moresco (Crash, Million Dollar Baby), to name a few. Jason began his training in theater design at Valley Christian High School where Skip Sharp, a brilliant set designer, mentored him as a set designer. Jason continued to study theatrical design at San Francisco State University where he worked developing his skills as a set and lighting designer. Later, Jason was offered a position as Director of Sales and Marketing at a new lighting and set design company in Santa Cruz, California. It was there that Jason acquired and nurtured his vast knowledge of live events, including theatrical lighting, design, management, and complex budgets.  However, Jason decided to leave the company to pursue his dream of working with his Coppola family and friends in LA.  In 2007, Jason became one of the youngest active members of the Motion Picture and Theatrical Art Directors Guild (800).  Recently Jason was honored with a Lester Horton nomination for achievement in lighting design for his work with BARE Dance Company in Orange County, CA.  Being married to choreographer Tawnya Kuzia, Jason has found he has a great understanding of movement and a passion for innovative technical productions.  Now back in the Bay Area, Jason is looking for new avenues of work and looks forward to all creative projects.

Personally, Jason is an active member in the community.  He has served on the Board of Directors for the East Valley Family YMCA for two years and has been involved in outreach programs for the last 13 years. He also works as a mentor for students getting into the media arts through PAH Fest, a program developed and supported by members of the Coppola Family. Jason has not only studied theatrical design, but Business Management at the University of Phoenix.
